CIBC corporate offices in down townTorontorequested Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Performance Company to perform for the CEO, executives and employees at CIBC’s Diversity celebration event on June 7th. Ms. Jade began by giving a speech covering aspects of diversity within hip hop culture, hip hop dance, the community and their roots. Her speech was then followed up by a spectacular performance by JHHA PC met by tremendous applause and acclaim.

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy May 2009 Forest of Reading Celebrations Hershey Center, Mississauga

On Friday May 15th Jade’s HipHopAcademy’s competitive division performed live as Special Guests in front of an audience of 3,500 at the Hershey Centre for Peel District School Board Forest of Reading Celebration. Dancers put on a fantastic show for screaming fans which was followed up by Owner and Artistic Director Jade Jager Clark doing a massive workshop with the entire audience.

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy April 2009 Roberta Bondar Career Fair Roberta Bondar Public School, Brampton

Owner and Artistic Director Jade Jager Clark was asked to speak at the Roberta Bondar Public School Career Fair which took place on Friday April 17th. She shared her business knowledge and experience speaking to gr. 7 and gr. 8 students about being an entrepreneur and the steps involved in opening up your own business. She also spoke about her journey and about the career paths of a dance teacher, professional dancer and choreographer. As a business owner at the age of 18, Jade reminded students that their age should not hold them back and that a young person can achieve a lot with hard work and dedication. In the end Jade encouraged students to follow their dreams and stay focused on how to get there. 

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Performance World Custom Car Show International Centre March 14th and 15th

This year we participated in the Performance World Custom Car Show held at the International Centre inMississauga. The event was held over three days and featured remade custom cars from the late 1900’s to today’s top models equipped with play stations, computers, TV screens everywhere, incredible rims and much more. Dancers entertained audiences in two 30 minute Jade’s HipHopAcademy segments. The music was booming and dancers did an amazing job!

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy GTA All-Star Basketball Games Seneca College Scarborough March 14th CIA Bounce Basketball

An eventful March weekend for the studio started off with half time performances for our 16 and over team “Swagger Like Us” as well as our junior competitive duet “Don’t Cross the Line” at the GTA All-Star Basketball Championship put on by CIA Bounce Basketball. Dancers did a outstanding job entertaining the crowd in between three consecutive games at Seneca College in Scarborough.

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy RUSH Fashion Show February 2009

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy 16 and over Competitive Team performed at the University of Toronto’s BSA 3rd Annual Fashion Show called RUSH- Rocking Urban Street Wear Swim Wear and High Fashion. The event was held at REIGN nightclub down town Toronto and featuredToronto’s hottest up and coming designers in urban, business, casual, formal and swim wear. Our dancers opened the show with their “DIVA” routine also modeling designs from a local designer. The show raised funds for Big Brothers and Big Sisters as well as furthering BSA’sMission to fund post secondary education for disadvantaged youth.

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy DAYTIME Rogers Television January 2009

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy recently performed on Rogers Cable DAYTIME Television Show. Members of our junior team “Scream” and senior team “J Squad” performed their award winning routines. Owner and Artistic Director Jade Jager Clark was also interviewed about the studio, the popularity of hip hop, the difference between music video hip hop dance and authentic hip hop dance and also taught the hosts a few moves.

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy and BSYO December 2008

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy and the Brampton Symphony Youth Orchestra collaborated at the RoseTheatre for a unique and innovative performance combining classical and Hip Hop. The Jade’s Hip Hop Academy performance team took Hip Hop to a whole new level performing Breakin, locking, popping to classical music. This partnership is scheduled to continue with more elaborate performances to come!

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Ruby Red Gala November 2008

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy’s J Squad was invited to perform at two Dr. Ruby Dhalla Events in the North and South end of Brampton. Day One included a performance at the Brampton Springdale Youth Board “Culture Shock” show. Day Two included a performance at the grandLesterB.PearsonConventionsCenter. Dancers and parents took part in the festivities at the gala dinner celebrating Dr. Ruby Dhalla and dancers performed in front of various politicians and business and community leaders. 

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Arts and Culture Show, Shopper’s World Mall October 2008

Dancers of our competitive and recreational programs performed at the annual Arts and Culture show at Shopper’s World Mall in Brampton. Jade’sHipHopAcademy performed two 20 minute segments for excited shoppers and Parents with a studio booth on hand taking in registrations.

 

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Canadian National Hip Hop Championships June 2008

Jade’s HipHopAcademy travelled to Montreal and participate in the Canadian National Hip Hop Championships. Four of our crews competed in separate age and ability categories and two crews placed top 5 in the country! Our Junior Crew TRY TO IMPRESS placed 2nd in the Children’s Division ages 11 and under and our Varsity Crew J SQUAD placed 4th in the Varsity competition ages 12-18.

 

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Canadian National Dance Championships May 2008

Our junior team TRY TO IMPRESS and soloists MAKE IT FUNKY and LAST TIME qualify to represent Canadaat the World Hip Hop Championships in Germany. Try To Impress not only won 1st place in Hip Hop Small Group ages 9-10 with an outstanding Elite Gold but scored the 3rd highest Overall mark for a Junior Group in the entire competiton! 

Jade’s Hip Hop Academy Black History Month February 2008

Members of Jade’s Hip Hop Academy senior team and Jade herself performed at City Hall in Brampton on Febraury 1st, 2008 at Black History Month Celebration. In honour of their performance they received a beautiful plaque from Mayor Susan Fennel.
