May 8th-10th was a very eventful weekend! As dancers took the stage for their last competition of the year our Business Manager and Administrator Ms. Inge had to be brought to Hospital. On Saturday night after a looong day of competition and running classes at the studio, while our last two routines were rehearsing backstage Ms. Inge’s blood pressure (caused by the wrong change in her medication by a doctor) sky rocketed and she almost fainted. Resident JHHA nurse Mary took her to North York General while a distraught Ms. Jade finished the competition and joined her mom in hospital. After 4hrs blood pressure was brought down, medication corrected and Ms. Inge was okay. Ms. Jade called upon Ms. Reasa to take her place as Artistic Director/Owner that morning in the competition while she stayed with Ms. Inge. Ms. Reasa took the job in stride and together with Ms. Madison they prepared all competition students for the first time ever without Ms. Jade. The day ended with Ms. Inge feeling strong enough to watch some of our routines and J GIRLZ earning the 2nd Highest mark of the competition! To see their performance CLICK HERE

J Darke took first place in Productions as well!! Oh and did we mention Isaiah had 4 routines on one day? He injured his ankle after J Darke, the first one (thank goodness JHHA resident nurse Mary was there to tape him up) and then came back to win with Ease On Down, his solo and crew J Squad.
