From South Africa Raoul has been a prominent member of the Canadian Street Dance community for more than 10 yrs and is a member of the Moon Runners dance Crew. Skilled in many street dance styles it’s his ultra fluent and musical house footwork that we can not wait for our camp participants to learn!
A new style for us at JHHA. Kelli’s mentor and teacher King Charles, pioneer of the Chicago footwork, has taken Kelli to perform and teach internationally. Kelli, herself, has established a Chicago Footwork community in India! Kelli will be introducing us to the basics and foundations of Chicago Footwork which will be followed up by King Charles himself in WEEK 2 of our Virtual Dance Camp!
Widely known for high energy classes and youtube vlogs we are excited to finally have the one and only Bizzy lead our camp participants in a dancehall class! Dancers better be ready to GET BIZZY and go ALL IN!
Wrapping up the week is a phenom in the dance world, this lady can do it all! This Calgary native is known worldwide for incredible talents in both the performance and battle realms. While she could truly teach us a variety of styles, we have asked her to lead our camp participants in a Locking class. You do not want to miss this!
We are so excited for Pioneer of Chicago Footwork King Charles to work with our camp participants! His class will follow up Week 1 class by Kelli Forman. Chicago Footwork is one of the most challenging and quickest paced footwork in street dance and we highly recommend both classes to get the full experience!
A veteran of the Canadian Krump scene in her 16th year of Krumping this dynamic Lady has battled and taught extensively throughout Canada and around the world! From Montreal, Taminator aka Lady Maddrip will take camp participants through drills and combos to level up their Krump!
ICY signature Tutting style is recognized throughout Toronto and across the continent. A member of the Moon Runners, ICY is a prominent member of the Canadian Street Dance Community and has established himself not only as a dancer but as a director and videographer through SEE WHAT ICY. We can not wait for participants to take on the challenge of his intricate style.
A Canadian and international b-boy champion Tricky Troublez is currently working with our students on Power Moves. He will be continuing to teach at JHHA in the 2020-2021 Season giving classes in both Power Moves and Breaking. As we all know there are many elements to Breaking and this week Troublez will focused on footwork and elevating everyone’s Top rock skill set.
We have had the pleasure of working with one of the creators of Lite Feet and CEO of Lite Feet Nation over the last few years. We can’t wait for our participants to join this special Class where Chrybaby will not only review foundations but go in depth on musicality, transitions between techniques and tips for choreography and freestyle.
WHY DO WE OFFER THIS CAMP – We know this pandemic is tough and as many regular dance seasons come to a close we wanted to offer our students and dancers from everywhere the chance to keep training. While learning on-line is no where close to being in class at your studio the advantage online is being able to connect with faculty from all across Canada and around the World.
WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THIS CAMP – Most times if we take an online class, live or through zoom we have that 1 hour and a bit to get the dance and that’s it, no do overs, no way to ask questions about what we’ve learned etc. Our camp gives the opportunity for dancers to take their time with the lessons and receive one on one feedback, coaching and mentor ship from our teachers. Dancers will also be educated on specific technique, vocabulary, drills, choreography and freestyle tactics. This camp is more than just learning a routine this is about street dance education.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Dancers will receive daily online lessons exclusively created for our camp by our incredible guest teachers at the beginning of each day. Dancers can spend as much time as they need perfecting the lessons throughout the day and will then meet with our instructors at the end of their scheduled day in a special ZOOM class. In the one hour ZOOM class hosted daily from 6:00pm-7:00pm eastern standard time by Jade Jager Clark aka Ms. Jade dancers receive the opportunity to meet the teachers, show them what they have learned and receive individual feedback!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? We are charging just $98.00 for the week! Have two dancers in one house hold? The 2nd child is 50% and pays just $45.00. Unable to take the entire week of classes? Take individual Classes for $25.00 each. Taking both weeks of camp? Receive $11 discount and pay just $185.00 for both weeks. Canadian Government Tax HST is included in the price.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? The camp is open to all ages and is recommended for dancers ages 8 and up. Younger dancers can participate. Level is Intermediate to Advanced. You do not have to be a dancer at Jade’s Hip Hop Academy to participate.
